Omolola Olateju (she/her) is a Minnesota-raised, Brooklyn-based digital strategist. She focuses on rapid response social media and content to build advocacy and awareness. She comes to Spake Media with nearly a decade of marketing experience, having begun her career in advertising. Lola uses strategic content and storytelling as tools to advance justice and fight for marginalized communities.
Before Spake, she built a successful freelance practice helping small- to medium-sized businesses tell brand-authentic stories. Lola holds a MS in Integrated Marketing Communications from Medill, Northwestern University and a BA in Communications from Wheaton College.
Outside of work, Lola spends her time building Black Girls Drink, a platform dedicated to peeling back traditional beverage narratives.
